People associate a lot of different things to a vacation in Las Vegas. Some people can drink and imagine a game full of celebration, while some may imagine a nice vacation away from home with the kids when they think of a trip to Sin City. In the late 60s and early 70s, the holiday industry really blossomed Las Vegas. This is mainly due to the efforts to reinvent the image of Las Vegas into a playground for adults.
Las Vegas of that period was full of dazzling casinos, extravagant shows and bars that were open day and night. You could catch a show, play all night, throw back a whiskey sour with breakfast at 8 am and go to sleep a few hours before doing it all over again in a Las Vegas vacation during those years. The nature of a Las Vegas vacation became something completely different in the 90s. Casinos in Las Vegas began to attract families traveling together to compete with the introduction of attractions like the roller coaster of New York New York and MGM Grand environment children.
Casino owners realized they could attract the all-night players and high rollers while catering to a whole new audience, the families, who brought their own money to play in the sands of Las Vegas. As a result, kid-friendly shows, restaurants, and attractions began to appear. Many casinos also offer children's play areas so mom and dad can still go to drink and gamble.
The current Vegas vacation represents a strange hybrid between adult and children's playground. Visitors can observe roller coasters rumble over casino floors where slot machines ping and whiz and roulette wheels and loud. These days, advertisements for escort agencies litter the sidewalks and ads for topless shows are displayed on taxis next to the listings of SpongeBob SquarePants, because of the legalization of prostitution in Las Vegas.
The feeling persists adult playground, even though the band has reinvented his image as a great place for families. There's more upscale restaurants and nightclubs than almost any other small area in the U.S., and the money and champagne still flow freely in this city.
The atmosphere of Las Vegas is a bit more difficult for adolescents, although adults and children can enjoy a vacation in Las Vegas. Most adult-oriented attractions are off limits and adolescents under 21 can not drink or gamble in Las Vegas. Vacationing in Las Vegas may tempt older teens to try more adult forms of entertainment so you must find another holiday destination if you are a family with a few teenagers.
